A veteran advertising and media executive, Warren Schlichting is DISH’s Senior Vice President of Media Sales and Analytics. He oversees advertising sales, viewer measurement analytics, advanced ad product management, and spearheaded the launch of DISH’s national household addressable advertising.
Prior to joining DISH in 2011, as Senior Vice President of New Business Development Schlichting led Comcast’s advanced advertising efforts on multiple media and ad delivery platforms including broadband, interactive television and video-on-demand. Before arriving at Comcast, he was Chief Executive Officer of Hiwire, a Los Angeles-based technology company that provided online ad replacement software for ClearChannel and other radio station groups. He also served in executive positions for Morgan Stanley and the William E. Simon private equity group.
Schlichting has received numerous accolades for his successful career in the advertising industry, including CableFAX’s 2007 Cable Top 100 Heavy Hitters and Cable Advertising Bureau’s 2005 President’s Award. He was a two-term board member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), recently served as co-chair of the IAB’s Five-Year Plan, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the International Radio & Television Society and Yucatan Foods.
He is a frequent guest speaker and panelist on the topic of advanced advertising at conferences and industry events throughout the nation. He gives back to the community as a PVJSA basketball coach and board member of Summer Search Philadelphia, a charitable organization dedicated to helping financially challenged high-school students begin and complete their college education.
Schlichting graduated cum laude with an Artium Baccalaureatus degree in Economics from Harvard University, where he was a four-year member of the varsity football team.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, Jasmine, Sam and Zach, as well as fly fishing, hunting, hiking and mountain biking.
