A veteran advertising and media executive, Warren Schlichting is DISH’s Executive Vice President of Programming, Marketing and DISH Media Sales. He oversees the acquisition and renewal of all programming content for DISH, including national network and cable channels, Latino content, local broadcast stations and premium services such as HBO, Showtime and Starz. Additionally, Warren oversees DISH’s national marketing efforts and DISH Media Sales, the company’s advertising sales division.
Prior to joining DISH in 2011, Warren led Comcast’s advanced advertising efforts on multiple media and ad delivery platforms including broadband, interactive television and video-on-demand. Before arriving at Comcast, he was Chief Executive Officer of Hiwire, a Los Angeles-based technology company that provided online ad replacement software for ClearChannel and other radio station groups. He also served in executive positions for Morgan Stanley and the William E. Simon private equity group.
Warren has received numerous accolades for his successful career in the advertising industry, including CableFAX’s 2007 Cable Top 100 Heavy Hitters and Cable Advertising Bureau’s 2005 President’s Award. He was a two-term board member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), served as co-chair of the IAB’s Five-Year Plan.
Warren has been a frequent guest speaker and panelist on the topic of advanced advertising at conferences and industry events throughout the country. He serves on a number of boards for organizations including the International Radio & Television Society, a group dedicated to increasing diversity in the media industry and building future media leaders through educational outreach programs for youth.
Warren graduated with honors with a degree in Economics from Harvard University, where he was a four-year member of the varsity football team.
Warren enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, Jasmine, Sam and Zach, as well as fly fishing, hunting, hiking and mountain biking.
