As Senior Vice President of Manufacturing, Jim LaRocque oversees the recovery, repair and redeployment operations for DISH’s electronic equipment and materials. He first joined the company in 1998 as Director of Manufacturing, and has been instrumental in developing sustainable processes that generate savings while reducing waste and conserving energy.
Under Jim’s direction, the Manufacturing team has experienced significant operational expansion, growing from one to five facilities with 3,500 staff that last year processed more than 17 million electronic component returns.
Prior to his time at DISH, Jim worked for System Sensor, now a unit of Honeywell International, Inc., from 1994 to 1998 as Strategic Planning Manager and later as Operations Manager. For five years prior, he served as an Executive Consultant, focusing on intellectual property matters, for Peterson Consulting LLP in Chicago.
Jim earned a Master of Management degree with distinction from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, where he was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Jim enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, kayaking and rafting with his two sons in Colorado.
