Dave Shull, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at DISH, oversees video content acquisition and packaging, product management, marketing and advertising sales to ensure the company’s continued development of superior entertainment experiences for its customers.
Shull first joined DISH as Director and Assistant to Chairman Charlie Ergen in 2004. He served numerous roles at DISH’s headquarters in the U.S., including Vice President of U.S. Operations, and spent three years in Hong Kong as Managing Director of EchoStar International. Most recently, Shull acted as Senior Vice President of Programming, where he was responsible for the acquisition and renewal of programming content, which includes core programming, Latino and international content, local channels and premium services.
Before his time at DISH, Shull held various executive positions with high-tech companies involved in the enterprise software industry and as a principal at strategy consulting firm, the Parthenon Group. He is a former director of TU Media Corporation, a South Korean mobile broadcast video and service company owned by SK Telecom, and also served on the boards of the Documentary Channel and EchoStar Asian Operations.
Shull received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Harvard University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Oxford.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, playing the keyboard, riding motorcycles, and an occasional day of skiing or snowboarding.
